Growing Up
Born in South Australia, my wonderful parents were surprised when they were presented with a ‘cock-eyed’ little girl. An operation to straighten my eye at two years old unfortunately didn’t go as planned and left me with no focus in my left eye. But hey, that hasn’t really worried me too much. My parents helped me so much throughout my life. I was never confident about speaking, joining in with others, or with schoolwork and exams. Well, we’ll leave the school years there.

In a nutshell, my future work prospects were slim. At 16 years old, my father took me out of needing to repeat Year 4 high school and gave me the opportunity to work in his company as a receptionist, and then later taught me bookkeeping, which I loved and excelled in. The typing, commerce, and English I tried to learn in high school now made sense to me in practice. These skills, along with being willing to learn new areas of expertise and problem-solving, formed the basis of the rest of my working life.

Music and playing
the piano
I get so much joy listening to the talents of others, especially children. While I would tinker on Mum’s piano when I visited her, I was not able to keep practicing at home. But since inheriting one of Mum's beautiful pianos, playing again brings me so much comfort and satisfaction.

I enjoy making more of the indulgent treats like chocolates, scones and other decadent delights.
My Love for Writing
Since 2017, I have enjoyed writing many children’s storybooks for family members. Then in 2018, I started collecting information and photos that needed to be preserved for future generations, and wrote two historical books for our family.
The first book, completed in November 2019 was about our parents’ lives, from their births in1925 and 1927, up to the mid 1990’s, with accompanying photos. Mum edited this one for me. She was also fastidious about spelling and grammar.
The second, completed in December 2022, was a book on our family lineage. Mum also started to edit my work for me, but unfortunately was unable to continue. It was then that I learned my sister Trudy’s workdays involved editing, and she took over to help me complete my quest.
The other side of me, which makes me whole...
I have wondered about the world around me (that I could not see) since a young age, sensing that there was a special power that could show me a type of ‘magic’ that had no earthly explanation.
I had noticed things happen throughout my life, helping me through difficult times and changing the course of a day or of my life in general. All these special moments in time have shaped my path in life.
My sister was once again there to help me in the direction I was meant to go. Unbeknownst to me, she had become a Reiki Sensei/Master, and in 2018 introduced me to the world of Reiki energy healing and unconditional love, where I found my ‘true magic’.
Then, through reading self-help books by Louise Hay and Esther and Jerry Hicks, more answers started coming to me, helping me understand the universal powers and how they do more than provide their devide energy healing—they guide and support us throughout our entire life’s journey.
